On the 14th of July as a part of Media literacy project that is supporting by Lithuanian Counsil for Culture Larysa Sydorenko, a participant of this scholarship held one more meeting for librarians of the Klaipeda County Ieva Simonaitytė Public Library.
At the beginning of the event participants introduced themselves and had difenert icebreakers. After that the participants learned what modern media are and how they work. It was about different types of information and according to what laws it develops, what are the consequences of informatization, and also learned about the possibilities of regulating the information flow. Also, those present considered the concept of media literacy and its reasons for its importance in the modern world.
In addition, participants discussed why it is important to know who are owners of the medias and how this affects what information we receive and how editorial policy is formed.
At the end of the meeting, all participants had a chance to get answers to the questions they were interested in.

Liepos 14 d. Larysa Sydorenko, Lietuvos kultūros tarybos stipendininkė ir bibliotekos darbuotoja, surengė dar vieną susitikimą. Šį kartą jis buvo skirtas patiems bibliotekininkams.
Renginio pradžioje dalyviai prisistatė ir darė įvairius pratimus ledams pralaužti. Po to bibliotekininkai sužinojo, kas yra šiuolaikinė žiniasklaida ir kaip ji veikia. Buvo kalbama apie įvairias informacijos rūšis, jos vystymosi principus, diskutuojama apie informatizacijos pasekmes, taip pat sužinota apie informacijos srauto reguliavimo galimybes. Renginio dalyviai svarstė medijų raštingumo sampratą ir jos svarbą šiuolaikiniame pasaulyje. Taip pat, vyko diskusija apie žiniasklaidos savininkus, kodėl juos svarbu žinoti, kokią įtaką jie daro mūsų gaunamai informacijai bei informacijos redakcijai.
Susitikimo pabaigoje visi dalyviai turėjo galimybę gauti atsakymus į jiems rūpimus klausimus.
