Sapnų gaudyklių gaminimas – archajinis, indėnų kultūros užsiėmimas,
kuris šiandien egzistuoja kaip pramoginė veikla, laisvalaikio leidimo
būdas, ar interjero detalė.
Sapnų gaudyklės – indėnų talismanas, saugantis žmogaus sapnus, jo
mintis nuo neigiamų vaizdinių. Legenda byloja, jog jis išfiltruoja
sapnus, pritraukdamas gerus ir nuvydamas košmariškus.
Tai ne itin sudėtingas, tačiau vienas magiškiausių ritualų, kurio metu
į kiekvieną rišamą mazgelį, senovės indėnai sudėdavo teigiamas mintis, gerus linkėjimus ir visa širdimi liedavo meilę. Tad viena svarbiausių šios technikos dalių – įdėti širdies ir iš tiesų patikėti savo
rankdarbio magiškomis savybėmis, pačiu savimi. Edukacijos metu
mokiniai susipažins su indėnų kultūra, jų ritualais ir tradicijomis
bei šio talismano atsiradimo istorija ir legendomis. Ši senovės indėnų sapnų gaudyklių pynimo technika leidžia pasinerti į indėnų tautos istoriją, ugdytis istorinį bei kultūrinį sąmoningumą, estetinį
suvokimą, bei rasti bendrų sąlyčio taškų tarp senovės žmonių išminties ir šiandieninio jauno žmogaus vertybių.
Edukacijos metu atsiskleidžia kiekvieno jauno žmogaus kūrybiškumas ir fantazija, kurie leidžia dar geriau pažinti ne tik spalvotą ir įvairiapusišką mus supantį pasaulį, bet ir save patį.

July 4th Family Celebration at the Library
We invite everyone to a special celebration on July 4th at the Klaipeda County Ieva Simonaityte Public Library! This day will be filled with exciting activities for the whole family. Our program includes a variety of events tailored for both children and adults.
Family LAB Session for the Little Ones

- During the activity, we will visit a village where we will get acquainted with the Native American culture, their environment, and unique sounds. Thanks to sensory tools, we will immerse ourselves in the subtle everyday life of the Native Americans - taking care of their horses, testing our accuracy, sleeping in a tipi, exploring totems, and fluffing feathers. Join us and dive into the world of Native Americans with all your senses.

Creating dreamcatchers is an ancient Native American cultural activity that today exists as a recreational pastime, a leisure activity, or an interior decoration.
Dreamcatchers are Native American talismans that protect a person's dreams and thoughts from negative images. Legend has it that they filter dreams, attracting good ones and warding off nightmares.
This is not a particularly complex but one of the most magical rituals, where ancient Native Americans would infuse each tied knot with positive thoughts, good wishes, and heartfelt love. Therefore, one of the most important aspects of this technique is to put your heart into it and truly believe in the magical properties of your handiwork and yourself. During the educational session, students will learn about Native American culture, their rituals and traditions, and the history and legends of this talisman. This ancient Native American dreamcatcher weaving technique allows immersion into the history of the Native American people, fostering historical and cultural awareness, aesthetic understanding, and finding common ground between the wisdom of ancient people and the values of today's youth.
During the session, each young person's creativity and imagination are revealed, allowing them to better understand not only the colorful and multifaceted world around us but also themselves.

Ancient people knew about the magical powers of the sound and vibration of drums, which elevate mood and strengthen the body, mind, and spirit. It's no coincidence that humans are given a voice. Even without words, mere sound can express emotions and help one feel connected to oneself. Singing and playing drums can enhance health and lead to a harmonious and happy life. Music brings cultures and people together, allowing for better understanding, and when it resonates, it fosters peace, love, and harmony both within and around us. Native American rhythm and reaction games develop hearing and sensory skills, strengthen the bond among ritual participants, and make your celebration impressive and full of the best emotions!
