Istorijų pasakotojas iš Airijos Niall de Búrca atvyksta į Klaipėdą ir kviečia šeimas į nuotaikingą pasirodymą, kuris vyks Klaipėdos apskrities Ievos Simonaitytės viešosios bibliotekos Saulės laikrodžio kiemelyje birželio 21 d., 17 val.
Renginio metu susipažinsite su airiškomis pasakomis, kurios sujaudins, išgąsdins ar privers juoktis. Niall – vienas geriausių Airijos istorijų pasakotojų, turintis unikalų gebėjimą rasti ryšį su įvairaus amžiaus auditorija. Nuo pat vaikystės laukinėje Vakarų Airijos pakrantėje jis buvo apsuptas šimtų senovinių pasakojimų, kurie augino Niall meilę knygoms ir skaitymui.
Pasirodymas tinka vaikams nuo dvejų metų, vaikus turi lydėti suaugęs asmuo. Pasirodymas vyks anglų kalba, tačiau dėl ypatingų Niall sugebėjimų bus įdomus ir jos nemokantiems.

Grab your seats and hang on tight, Niall de Búrca is coming to Klaipėda for a celebration of tales in the lead up to Midsummer. Join us for a fun filled family show on 21 June for some Irish tales that will thrill you, scare you, and make you laugh!
Niall is a seanchaí: a traditional storyteller with a unique ability to connect with audiences of all ages. Raised on the wild west coast of Ireland, Niall was always surrounded by hundreds of ancient tales which encouraged his love of stories reading. As a kid, he dived into books at any opportunity! He loves libraries and promotes the importance of reading and the value of libraries in society, by performing all over Ireland and in many countries abroad.
The show is suitable for all ages from the age of two upwards. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the show. Niall will tell his tales in English but promises an entertaining experience, regardless of language.
About Niall
Niall de Búrca is one of Ireland’s finest traditional storytellers. He was raised in Galway and displayed a talent for narrative from a young age. At home he has featured in theatre, radio and at many festivals including Féile Earraai, the CS Lewis Festival, and The National Children’s Book Festival. Abroad he has performed and held workshops in countries as diverse as Poland, Argentina, Italy and The Netherlands.
Niall has produced CD collections, including two of young Irish performing traditional rhymes and stories. In 2023, he enjoyed performing voiceover for an audio guide exploring the life and extraordinary journeys of St Brendan the Navigator. He has performed on abridged digital editions of many classic stories including C. S. Lewis “The Chronicles of Narnia”, Roald Dahl’s “Danny the Champion of the World” and “Holes” by Louis Sachar.
The Vienna Review writes: “His ability to evoke a wide range of emotions from his rapt audiences enables him to bewitch people with his stories and make listening to him as well as watching him an unforgettable experience”.
His credo is the ancient Celtic proverb: Níór bhris focal maith fiacal riamh - a good word never broke a tooth!
